CURRENT OPENINGS:

Event Installer - Prep and Production Team

Joe Mineo Creative is looking for a hardworking, self-motivator that can assist in the preparation of and execution of events. This is a full-time position. The Event Installer is responsible for loading and unloading event décor product, and installing and removing the event décor.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Loads and unloads props, furniture, floral products and other event decor onto vehicles and trucks for delivery to clients and venues.

  • Packs and unpacks props, furniture, floral products and other event decor.

  • Prepares, assembles, installs and uninstalls furniture, fabric backdrops, Chuppahs, and other room décor throughout the event venue. May install products in entryways, on ceilings, floors, walls and columns.

  • Returns props, furniture, floral products and other event décor to appropriate locations for storage.

  • Works carefully to minimize damage and breakage of product and floral.

  • Clean work spaces and collect debris while installing and removing product to ensure venue is left clean and damage free.

  • Follows all safety guidelines according to company policies and procedures.
     

Requirements:

  • Up to 1 year of event set-up experience preferred.

  • Ability to understand, read and speak English.

  • Ability to interpret pull sheets.

  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.

  • Ability to handle glass and fragile items safely.

  • Good verbal communication skills to communicate successfully with the team.

  • Ability to multitask and take direction.

  • Good knowledge and ability to use tools and equipment that may include: hammer, screwdriver, hand drill, tape measure, dollies, lifts, and 8 foot and 12 foot ladders.

  • Ability to work long shifts and work flexible schedules to include evenings and weekends.

  • Ability to travel locally and outside the city and state.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

  • Must be 18 years old or older.

Floral Department Manager

Joe Mineo Creative, an event design studio, is looking for creative, self-motivator that will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the floral department. This individual will also need to have the proper skills to design and develop unique floral and event décor.

Must possess up to date knowledge of the floral industry and the key skills that it takes to process that floral. This position will include varying work hours to accommodate events such as weekends.

Must be comfortable working alone and as part of a team. Responsibilities may include ordering of weekly floral; process/stocking/maintaining floral products; cleaning work areas; manage and supervise floral designers.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must have at least 2 years’ experience with floral design.

  • Creativity and an eye for good design.

  • Must be a multitasker who works well under pressure.

  • Must be able to work weekends and travel up to 2 hours, as necessary

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Assistant Event Consultant

Joe Mineo Creative, an event design studio, is looking for a hard working professional to assist the event office with daily event tasks such as but not limiting to:

  • Coordinating of appointments with clients and vendors.

  • Booking of flights and conference trips as needed.

  • Using Word and Excel with ease and proficiency.

  • Coordinating the event rentals, deliveries, and vendor schedules.

  • Intercept any issues that may arise while thinking on the spot to troubleshoot.

  • Coordinate the logistics of multiple vendors to produce and implement numerous successful events.

  • Keeping track of event finances including payment requests, invoicing, and recording.

  • Work on location occasionally for events as a production team member to assist with set-up and teardown of events.

  • Answering a multiple phone line system.

  • Prepare and modify event contracts using a custom contract program.

  • Create and edit layouts using a custom layout program.

  • Provide consulting advice and etiquette to clients.


It is a requirement to have experience and knowledge of computers and software such as Microsoft Office. Excellent spelling and grammar is very important as event terminology will be new to learn for most applicants. Experience in social media is a plus. Occasional weekends and nights work.
