JOB DESCRIPTION

Joe Mineo Creative is a nationally recognized and award-winning event design company. With every corporate event, wedding, and private party we create, plan, or manage, our team provides clients with a unique design, exceptional service, and a sophisticated presentation.

We are seeking a creative, organized and self-motivated Event Designer to work directly with our Creative Director to support the design and implementation of events. This role reports to the Creative Director for design and the COO for event execution. This is a full-time position, with compensation based on experience and growth potential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead special projects from concept through completion in partnership with the Creative Director.

• Participate in brainstorming and design collaboration sessions with the Creative Director to conceptualize event designs.

• Support the Creative Director with sourcing new decor, materials, and products through research and purchasing. 

• Build strong working relationships across all departments of Joe Mineo Creative.

• Design floral concepts and event decor aligned with client vision, budget, and brand standards.

• Determine floral and design materials needed to create client prototypes.

• Collaborate across departments to bring event designs and concepts to execution.

• Participate in client prototype meetings and assist with implementation.

• Create and maintain documentation for floral and design elements for each event.

• Communicate design needs and timelines with the COO and all departments ahead of the events.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in event design, preferably within an event decor or production company.

• Knowledge of event venues, current design trends, and styles.

• Experience with event design, floral design, light construction, art fabrication, and lighting.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong math and budgeting skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and clients.

• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.

• Availability to work weekends as required by event schedules.
