Served With Style - Edition 21

EDITION 21: Served With Scare

It's Spooky Season! Is there anything more fun than that?

Last year we had the pleasure to create a really amazing Halloween party for a legacy client at their private estate. Aside from some creative fun with the haunted mansion décor, inside and out, we had a great time with the food presentation. Take a look at some of our favorite photos from the party and pull some inspiration for your own creepy gatherings this spooky season.

We made the mansion come to life by hanging skeletons so that they appeared to be climbing up the exterior. At night this made the haunt look real!

The gallery of eyes made you feel like you were being watched! We found classic artworks online and cropped just the eyes, then printed them out to place in a variety of frame shapes and styles.

The DJ and dancing were in the haunted library - you better believe it wasn’t quiet once the guests got in there! A little clear tape and fishing line with a touch of the Joe Mineo magic was all it took to make the wicked pages, which were printed with spells and secrets, float above the dancers' heads.

Can this possessed baby in a Victorian carriage coming down the stairs be any more terrifying? We used the usual spider webs, lighting and fog machine to bring it to life but really it’s the off balance placement that makes it!

Our bar was a mad scientist's laboratory. This is a back bar we have used in many pretty events but to suit the theme of this party we added lots of Halloween décor and printed panels, gauages, and vintage medical illustrations. Spirits were conjured up!

The Master of the Estate was largely featured at the buffet. He died many years ago so his portrait hung above his skeleton. When dinner was served the portrait came to life! He heckled the guests with dark humor and taunts like – “Yes, have some more meatballs- you’ll be dead by midnight anyway!” The guests loved every minute of it.

We wish all of you a Happy Halloween! And don’t forget if you do some spooky serving of your own, we’d love to see your photos!
