EDITION 17: PCMA OPENING PARTY
COVID-19 has curtailed all convention center gatherings, just one of the many venue locations that have been hugely affected by the ban on large gatherings. We look forward to the day when we can once again create amazing large scale events in places such as the David L. Lawerence Convention Center of Pittsburgh, PA.
We invite you to take a stroll down memory lane to relive some of the cool ways we took a vast open space in an amazing high tech venue from being just another huge hall to feeling like it was truly built for this one incredible opening night party planned and executed for the event professional of PCMA.
We were grateful to be brought into the event team by The Event Group and the collaboration was a great one!

As always, the food was the focus and many of the design elements were developed based on the desire to highlight and feature various menu items.
We designed the bridge structures giving a nod to the host “city of bridges” as well as to create a sense of place for the carving stations. The bridges were carved from foam and professionally lit making a great statement in the space.
The food stations were also adorned with unique menu signage that added interest, enhanced the theme, and assisted guests in finding the many delicious culinary offerings stationed throughout the event.

The bars featured a DJ and MC at the center of the room, which gave it a feeling of being the command center. A strong graphic design package was created and shared messaging throughout the event; encouraging various hashtags supporting the convention’s social media effort.
Stay tuned for for next week’s Served with Style edition, where we will share PCMA’s closing night party, featuring another great Pittsburgh event venue and adorned with its own fantastic design elements!
