"The goals of the celebration were multifaceted, and entailed commemorating the 125th anniversary of Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, re-launching our gala after a ten-year lapse, and honoring the community's commitment to ensuring that the children we serve have access to world-class medical care. Expectations for this event were incredibly high, and throughout the two-year planning process, Joe Mineo Creative was a true partner in developing and executing an once-in-a-lifetime event.

 

Joe and his team worked tirelessly to transform the venue from a standard convention center to an elegant and enchanting atmosphere that delighted our guest. The “It’s About Time!” theme was evident throughout the space, ranging from colorful window adhesives that welcomed guests at the main entrance to a ceiling treatment designed to look like an exploding clock.

 

JMC also seamlessly integrated our 125th anniversary themed, “Give Kids a Chance to be Kids”; by producing 12-foot tall photo screens that greeted guest as they entered the cocktail reception, as well as a three-dimensional photo backdrop. From the moment that guests entered the event, the recognition of the community’s generosity was evident, which enhanced the overall spirit of the celebration.

 

One of the aspects of JMC’s work that impressed me most was their commitment to innovation by incorporating the latest event technology. The registration check-in app they recommended allowed guest to move quickly through the registration area, eliminating long wait times. JMC also partnered with a local technology vendor to design some projections mapping content, which highlighted the hospital’s history, and acknowledged the support of our event sponsors.

 

JMC sets a new standard of excellence with the focus that they put on the overall event experience, while successfully managing the countless details along the way. The celebration surpassed all expectations, and delivered a stunning and memorable evening.
